These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Soap Factory, and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
We reserve the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Website following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
2. Product Descriptions and Accuracy
Soap Factory takes pride in crafting genuine handmade soaps and cosmetics. Each product is made in small batches using natural and artisan techniques. Accordingly, please note the following:
- Handmade Variations: As all our products are handmade, slight variations in colour, texture, design, weight (within ±5%), and appearance may occur between individual units and product images displayed on the Website. Such variations are inherent to the handmade nature of our products and are not considered defects.
- Product Images: Photographs are representative and may differ slightly from the actual product due to screen resolution, lighting, or natural variation in ingredients. We strive to maintain accuracy to the best of our ability.
- Ingredients: We make every reasonable effort to list ingredients accurately. However, formulations may change without notice. Customers with known allergies or sensitivities are advised to review the full ingredients list and consult a dermatologist before use.
- Cosmetic Claims: All product claims are made in good faith and are compliant with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and applicable regulations. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Soap Factory shall not be held liable for any dissatisfaction arising solely from the natural, handmade character of our products.
3. Pricing and Payments
3.1 Pricing
- All prices listed on the Website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, orders confirmed and paid prior to a price change shall be honoured at the original price.
- Soap Factory reserves the right to correct any pricing errors and, in such cases, will notify the Customer before processing the order.
3.2 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed securely through Razorpay and other RBI-authorised payment gateways. We accept UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, and wallets as available through the gateway.
- All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS technology. Soap Factory does not store your card or banking credentials on its servers.
- By completing a transaction, you confirm that you are the authorised holder or user of the payment instrument used.
- In the event of a payment failure, please do not re-attempt without verifying your bank statement or payment confirmation. Duplicate charges, if any, will be reversed within 5–7 working days by the respective payment gateway.
- Soap Factory shall not be liable for any transaction fees, bank charges, or currency conversion charges levied by your financial institution.
3.3 Order Confirmation
- An order is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a successful payment confirmation and a corresponding email/SMS order acknowledgment from Soap Factory.
- We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in the case of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or unavailability of stock. A full refund will be issued in such cases.
4. Shipping and Delivery
4.1 Shipping Partners
We ship orders through trusted and reliable domestic courier services including, but not limited to, partners such as Delhivery, Shiprocket, BlueDart, and India Post, based on your delivery location and order size.
4.2 Processing Time
- Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2–5 business days from the date of confirmed payment, excluding public holidays and Sundays.
- During peak seasons, promotional periods, or unforeseen circumstances, dispatch timelines may be extended. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any delays.
4.3 Delivery Timeline
- Estimated delivery is 5–10 business days from the date of dispatch, depending on your location within India.
- Soap Factory does not currently offer international shipping unless explicitly stated on the Website.
4.4 Shipping Charges
- Shipping charges, if any, are displayed at checkout and are non-refundable except in cases where an order is cancelled by Soap Factory.
- Free shipping thresholds, if offered, apply to eligible orders as stated on the Website at the time of purchase.
4.5 Delivery Responsibility
- Once an order is dispatched and a tracking ID is provided, responsibility for delivery rests with the courier partner. Soap Factory shall not be held liable for delays caused by the courier, force majeure events, natural calamities, strikes, or government restrictions.
- Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address. Soap Factory shall not be liable for non-delivery or mis-delivery due to incorrect address information.
- In case of a failed delivery attempt, the courier may return the package to us. Re-shipment charges will apply.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Soap Factory maintains a strict and limited returns policy in alignment with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
5.1 Eligibility for Return or Refund
Returns and refunds are only accepted under the following specific circumstances:
- Physically Damaged Products: The product arrives visibly broken, cracked, crushed, or otherwise physically damaged due to transit.
- Incorrect Products: A product materially different from what was ordered (wrong variant, wrong product) is delivered.
Returns and refunds are NOT applicable for:
- Change of mind, personal preference, or dissatisfaction with scent, colour, or texture that falls within natural handmade variation.
- Products that have been used, partially consumed, or tampered with.
- Damage caused by the customer after delivery.
- Failure to disclose relevant allergies or sensitivities prior to purchase.
- Delays in delivery by courier partners.
5.2 Mandatory Documentation Requirements
To initiate a return or refund claim, the Customer must:
- Contact us at [your support email] within 48 hours of delivery.
- Provide a clear unboxing video recorded at the time of opening the package, AND/OR clear photographs showing the damage or incorrect item, along with the shipping label.
- Provide the Order ID, name, and registered contact information.
Claims submitted after 48 hours of delivery, or without adequate photographic/video proof, will not be entertained under any circumstances.
5.3 Resolution Process
- Upon verification of the claim and submitted evidence, Soap Factory will offer, at its sole discretion: a replacement of the damaged or incorrect product (subject to availability), or a store credit or refund to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
- Soap Factory reserves the right to reject claims that do not meet the above criteria.
5.4 Order Cancellations
- Orders may be cancelled by the Customer only before dispatch. Once dispatched, cancellations are not accepted.

- Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership
All content on this Website, including but not limited to text, product descriptions, photographs, logos, graphics, packaging designs, brand name ("Soap Factory"), and trade dress, are the exclusive intellectual property of Soap Factory and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and other applicable Indian intellectual property laws.
